31 A.I. Photos From Facebook That Your Grandparents Think Are Real
In the modern media landscape, views and engagements are king. If it doesn't get the clicks then content like it doesn't get to stick, and pages and brands will go to great lengths to make sure their posts are getting the attention they need. Unfortunately, that often means that the quality of that content drops off, as mass-produced garbage rolls off the proverbial assembly line more efficiently than well-thought-out media ever could.
The thing is, plenty of people online are so dumb that they can't tell the difference, and consume the content all the same and none the wiser. That's led to the increasingly common use of A.I. not just for writing, but image creation. And where do these A.I. images get posted? That's right, to the platform with a user base so old they can't tell what's real and what's not: Facebook.
"Briefly looked at my mom’s Facebook and it’s all AI, like every single post," Chris Alsikkan tweeted, "and she has no idea, it’s a complete wasteland." He's not the only one who's observed the trend.
"Facebook has turned into an endless scroll of A.I. photos and the boomers don’t appear to have noticed," Justine Moore tweeted, sharing even more examples.
If you think A.I. still has a way to go before it can start fooling people and replacing media creators, you are mistaken. It already is.
